Two ways to split a track

Open a finished song's actions in the dashboard and choose how far to break it down. Separation runs as a credit-priced task.

Basic separation

Splits the track into two files: lead vocals and the instrumental bed. Best for karaoke versions, acapella extraction, and quick remixes.

Multi-stem separation

Breaks the song into individual instrument tracks you can mix independently in a DAW — the right choice for real mastering and production work.

Export formats

MP3

Direct download from any finished track. Good for sharing, previews, and quick publishing.

WAV

A conversion task on the track — request it when you need full-quality audio for mastering or distribution.

MIDI

Exports the melodic content as MIDI so you can re-arrange, re-instrument, or transcribe the song.

Video

Turn a track into a shareable video for social platforms and visual releases.

Stems & export, step by step

  1. 1. Finish a track

Generate your song on Suno V6 (chirp-v6) and pick the take you want to work with.

  2. 2. Open track actions

From the track in your library, choose Separate Vocals for a two-way split or Multi-stem for individual instruments. Separation costs credits per run.

  3. 3. Request conversions

Use the same actions for WAV conversion, MIDI export, or video creation. Completed results appear in your history for download.

  4. 4. Take it to your DAW

Import the stems and WAV into your editor, then mix, master, or remix on your own terms.

What people do with stems

Karaoke & covers

Pull the vocal off a track for a clean instrumental, or keep the acapella for a cover arrangement.

Remixes

Rebuild the drums, replace the bass, or pitch the vocal — stems give you the raw material.

Real mastering

Balance each stem, fix harshness, and glue the mix with proper processing — then bounce a release-ready master.
